Very, very nice. The first and third pictures are absolutely perfect. I could see them printed out and framed.

The middle picture is also very nice - but I would like to see it with a warmer WB. I would play with the WB slider (if you shot RAW) until the fence is white instead of blue and see how it would look then.
Thank you for your kind wirds, CR. And thank you very much for picking up that incorrect white balance. I am glad that I have you guys looking out for me. What do you mean "if I shoot raw"? I always shoot RAW (and JPG). So, I just hit the fence with the eye dropper and all fixed,. Looks much better, too.

I love the saturated colours in the first one, Ray. I agree with Christian about the white balance being on the blue side in the second one, and I'm thinking that there's a really good B&W just waiting to come out of it.
Thanks, Dave. I visualised that image when I saw the ferry waiting there and it came out just as I wanted. I will put that second image through NIK Silver Efex and see what I can come up with. Watch the mono thread for that.

Nice work, Steve. I love the silver lining on the clouds. Very well seen and captured.

OK, here's the mono version after processing with NIK Silver Efex 2 (damn good software!). Thanks for the suggestion, Dave. It works for me.

Beautiful. A great new entry in your cloudscape series.

Love the B&W version, Ray, and I agree about Silver Efex. I've only started using it recently and it has revolutionised my approach to digital B&W. I've found the de-noise software in the Nik collection very useful too.

I recommend that you watch as many of the videos about NIK that you can find. Especially the ones produced by NIK. My three photog mates and I spent a day this week watching and discussing some of the videos. We still have many more to get through but it's the only way to find out about all the great features.

I have spent quite a lot of time with some of the Nik modules now, and I find new features all the time. I definitely need to check out those videos - thanks for the tip! Silver Efex is my favourite, but there are some really nifty tools in Color Efex as well (and sometimes sending an image through both can give great results).

Hi Bhuey
The 3rd one in the takumar set looks like the duck has a cigar.
Dragonfly ones are stunning too

Gotta start taking some non-pony photos. I was thinking about maybe some of the beautiful medieval churches that scatter the landscape around here. Of course, there are usually ponies in the churchyard. Ah well. . .
