And I'd have a couple of hundred pounds left over to really have some fun with."

Here's a seven shot stitch of Burrator Reservoir, looking worryingly low on water in the middle of the driest summer we've had this century. Shot with the 18-55mm WR, just for the sake of irony.

Ha! I like your version best, Dave. I am almost tempted to get a backup for my K10D because I would hate for it to die.

I saw that image of the reservoir on Flickr earlier but I didn't know that it was a 7-image stitch. Nicely done and it has lots of detail. I went back to Flickr and checked it out!

Well, y'all like the idea of just a bunch of K10Ds but y'all (like me) have more modern cameras along with it (K-S1 for me and Dave, K-3 for Ray, K-5 for Paul... and so on)

I think we'd all take a K-1 for backup to the K10D with the bonus of being our low light camera as well, like we currently have in those other cameras

I dunno.

It's someone else's job to decide when I am, and then let me know by walking up to me and saying, "Hey! You old coot! Get moving, today, while we're young."

Yep, I'll definitely be trying my best to get into the K-1 raffle. It would be ideal for things like the lunar eclipse tonight. Although, with perfect timing, the sky has decided to cloud over today after weeks of endless sunshine.

But if I was in the market to buy a digital full frame, I think my money would be going on a smaller, lighter mirrorless using my Taks on an adapter.

Everyone's different, of course, and we all have our specific wants and needs in relation to photography gear. For my part, though, I agree with you completely, Dave.

After getting my first GX-10 in October 2016 (due to the fan-base here on PF), it took just a couple of shoots for me to fall in love with it. Technically, I have much "better" equipment, but the GX-10 is one camera I wouldn't want to be without. Primarily, it's down to the quality and properties of the RAW files, but I also really enjoy shooting with it - more than any other camera I own, in all honesty. Hence why I picked up a second one shortly afterwards... and if a third one should ever materialise on eBay in similar condition and at a sensible price, I might just snap that up too... but I'd probably stop there

Hi Mike,
If I substitute K10D for GX-10 then that is exactly how I feel too. Unlike many here, the K10D was my first DSLR and it was the one that brought me into the exciting world of digital. And we have been through a lot together. Still going strong 11 years later.

Love it. That 8mm is one of the few lenses still left on my wish list. It would be great to see any more that you've shot with it on the K10D.
