Thanks for posting. What is it about castles that keeps us fascinated with them. Unfortunately, my K10 was back at home in Canada when I visited this castle with my wife the same year on a sweltering hot day. We climbed to the top of the towers via the stone steps and narrow stairways wondering how the defenders managed this feat when wearing Armour. My knees have yet to forgive me.

Mmm. . . that toasty grass is so tasty. Although personally I'd need butter and marmalade on it.

Digging through unprocessed images from my K10D.

The 2011 Camaro pace car at Talladega.

I got a ride in it around the speedway, 8 or 10 laps at 155mph, courtesy of Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of Dale Earnhardt (rip).

Turn 4 at 155.

Wow! That is cool. And I am just a little bit jealous. Well, more than a bit!

Yes, the Ford Mustang is making quite an impact everywhere.

Even here. There are enough of them around these parts now that I'll spot one every few days, plus an occasional Corvette. It's a testament to the way American cars are built for handling nowadays rather than just straight line speed, because the sort of muscle cars that were around in my days as a Long Island teenager in the Seventies would have been lethally undriveable on our twisty Dartmoor roads.

Here's a Mustang parked near Foggintor in early 2017:

Nice Dave!

I was never really a Ford guy, but the Mustang has always held a place in my automotive heart.

I just follow this K10D thread as many seem to have abandoned those excellent CCD sensors .
Also , no excuses have to be made for the results from these inexpensive cameras .

I have still a K10D , bought on close out when the K20 arrived , which is a touch cumbersome for me these days , plus a K-S1 35mm f2.8 with that superb viewfinder and excellent handling but I confess to having moved to Fuji X-Pro1 and X-T1 , 27mm , mostly because they are evocative of film cameras and less than £500 each brand new .
Hardly budget , but great for my comfort zone.

[ I have brain glitch which finds it difficult to 'recognise' items which are not in my limited library - hence my flattened modern Porsche inspired ? VW Beetle with wings !! Even auto focus film cameras seem wrong to me ]

However , my 14mp CCD ,Sony A290 35mm f1.8 , the most basic 'wrong' camera you could ever imagine bought for my 1997 35mm f4 , is ever ready to capture changing seasons outside my house .

The Fuji X-T cameras really appeal to me because of the classic control layout: an aperture ring on the lens, plus dials for shutter speed and ISO on the camera body. What more do you need? I really like the colour rendering that I see from the Fuji cameras as well.

I just wish Pentax would do a camera with a similar control layout, as I think it could sell well in our particular market niche. Back in 2012 when I first went digital, I came very close to buying a Samsung NX10 mirrorless rather than going down the Pentax route (although of course I'm very happy that I did choose Pentax). But if I was in the same position of moving from film to digital in the current market, I'm also certain I would have chosen one of the Fuji X-T models to mount my Takumars on.

Sam the German Shepherd had a vet visit yesterday and I'm happy to report all the humans who probed him survived. We were out in Ohio farm country, and from prior visits I knew it was scenic so I brought along the K10D. I almost didn't bring it, but I'm very happy I had my camera with me. It has been very overcast and dreary lately so it was nice to see color in the sky.
