Originally posted by deeslexia I have still a K10D , bought on close out when the K20 arrived , which is a touch cumbersome for me these days , plus a K-S1 35mm f2.8 with that superb viewfinder and excellent handling but I confess to having moved to Fuji X-Pro1 and X-T1 , 27mm , mostly because they are evocative of film cameras and less than £500 each brand new .
The Fuji X-T cameras really appeal to me because of the classic control layout: an aperture ring on the lens, plus dials for shutter speed and ISO on the camera body. What more do you need? I really like the colour rendering that I see from the Fuji cameras as well.
I just wish Pentax would do a camera with a similar control layout, as I think it could sell well in our particular market niche. Back in 2012 when I first went digital, I came very close to buying a Samsung NX10 mirrorless rather than going down the Pentax route (although of course I'm very happy that I did choose Pentax). But if I was in the same position of moving from film to digital in the current market, I'm also certain I would have chosen one of the Fuji X-T models to mount my Takumars on.
