I've never owned a CMOS-sensor DSLR, so I probably don't know what I'm missing! I'm very happy with my ancient K10D & *istD bodies, since I'm mostly an outdoors/available light shooter. I also appreciate the smaller-sized files from these models. That being said, I can see myself eventually getting one of the 16mp bodies, perhaps a K30/50/K5, or possibly a K-01.

Shot this one earlier in the week with the K10D & A35-70/4:

Two very pleasant shots, Paul. I remember how much I loved the bluebonnets when I was in Dallas.

Nice shots, Paul... great to see nice warm colors - nothing much has bloomed up here in Maine yet.

Thanks guys. Bob, at least you can look forward to those awesome Fall colors up there later in the year & I hope Spring finally makes its way to your place soon. Super spider shots, Ray!

Here's a couple more bluebonnet shots with the K10/A35-70. They are starting to disappear now that the weather is heating up here (xposted)

And nice to see more bluebonnet shots, Paul. I really like that second one with people in it.

Here are a few recent shots from a vintage car show. K10D + FA 77mm combo.

The K10D was my first digital camera. I managed some of my better bird shots with it and an old SMC Pemtax M 400/5.6. I like the way this combo rendered when I managed to get things just right. It is on the sidelines now replaced by a K5 but there was something about this old camera.

Very nice bird shots. Maybe you should use the K10D more often.

I teamed the K10D up today with a Tamron SP 28-80 lens that I bought second hand 10 years ago when I was still shooting film with my Spotmatics.

I have been telling myself that this lens deserves to be used more often. Old glass still works well on a Pentax DSLR. Here are a couple of examples:

White Hibiscus in my garden.

The Skillion at Terrigal.

The sharpness is so amazing - I observe the same thing with my K10D - in some cases it can nearly match the detail and surpass the sharpness I get from the same lens on K-01 - and that is 16MP sensor vs 10 MP !

Well done everyone - the K10D is so outstanding that I got myself a second body recently - with only 800 clicks on it

...I need to upload some of my photos again too
