A 2 door post.

Don't see too many of those.
Don't see a lot of '51 Chevys, let alone a 2-dr post!

Nice sunset, Paul. For a moment there I thought you had returned to Texas...and then I noticed the year in your watermark.

Thanks Ray. See, those watermarks *are* good for something.
I am missing Texas - I get homesick going thru the old photos...

The owners of our retirement village have just installed a new launching jetty for our model boat club sailors. It has been wanted for quite a while and it is so good to see it completed.

Nice, it looks like much fun will be had! Do you have a model boat? Now that spring is up I'm sure we'll see a lot of this lake

Thank you, CR. No, I don't have a boat. Having a boat would clash with my role of official photographer. I have enough toys, thanks.

Here are a couple of examples taken with the K10D, of course:

Thanks, Paul. Yes and Yes! I am the group's official photographer and the K10D is with me every time (along with a couple of other cameras!).

And you make good use of them.

However if you perhaps do have the room for another toy, this seems like a scenario where the SMC-A 70-210mm f4 lens would excel, and it's a cheap toy to add to the lens drawer... I know you like that Tamron and you get good use out of it, but nowadays if I'm out in the sun and want good colors and contrast with decent PF control, I've been taking that old manual SMC-A lens and the Tamron 70-300 nowadays pretty much stays at home all the time...

Thank you for your kind comments, CR. And thank you for the points you have made re the SMC-A 70-210mm lens but I don't think I will be adding that to my collection for the following reasons:

a. I like my automation too much and I need fast AF in this situation. I also use my Sigma 150-500 on the K-3 on sail days.
b, I need the extra length of the 70-300 Tamron even on APS-C. That Tamron is a cheapish lens but it performs well for me and I know its strengths as I have had it since 2008.

I have had thoughts about a possible upgrade but I really don't NEED one. I know that is not a valid reason when one has LBA.

K10D and DFA100mm macro +flash to fill as I was shooting into the morning sun.

Here's a Magpie that visited this morning, it sat in our backyard for over half an hour, I hand fed it some worms from the worm farm

And Buster keeping a close eye on it, he's always chasing birds out of the back yard.
