One small vote for "All CCD Sensors" club. I have two K10D's (and a D200).
I have two K-10, one that is MF only, and the 645D. I like the idea of leaving the K-10 club as it is and adding a all CCD club where I would post images from the 645D. I would continue to post to the K-10 Club as well.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Good idea as long as we can keep the K10d club alive as well.

ChristianRock, that's so shocking!

There is a 6-megapixel club, that's one of the places I post my K110D's pix. I remember reading a lot about K200s around the same time I was researching the K10D. I watched some K200s on ebay. Something I read nudged me toward more serious interest in the K10D...might've been in this thread. It doesn't bother me if you have a preference for the K200 over the K10D. Sometimes I seem to get better exposures with totally manual lenses with my K110D than with my K10D. The K10D is a much more complex camera, and I'm still learning to use it well! But today I was shooting my old K110D again, my first interchangeable lens digital camera, which I had a few some years before I got the K10D.

CR, the new Club is fine by me. I'll carry on with the Six Megapixel Club as long as there is interest, and will continue contributing to the K10D Club as well. The new club is another outlet for my CCD cameras - so it's all good.

Got my K10D out as my Sigma 4.5mm Circular Fisheye won't work on the K5IIs, and when mounted to the K-1 the camera locks up when I switch it on.

So, here we go.

The moon came up as the sun went down. With the moon over my shoulder, I shot the house, with the Big Dipper over the house.

Guess it all depends on what you are used to. I had several K20d bodies before I got my first K10d. Before the K10d I used the K5II.
Did not get used to the different layout of the controls and the menu of the K5II. The K10d fills not only what I need but is similar to the K20d.
The majority of what I shoot is done with Pentax legacy glass. Results make me happy.

Thanks Racer X 69 for sharing the image of the house and the sky. Great shot.

Hah, I also "updgraded" my K20D to the previous K10D. To me it was an upgrade sensor-wise. The one thing I missed from the K20D was the grip, it was just so perfect! Which is one of the reasons I am loving the K200D - it's like a mini-K20D but with the 10MP CCD sensor instead, which I love! The only thing I miss from the K10D is the larger viewfinder.... which I guess shows that nothing's perfect And I still have fun with the K10D when I want to.

CCD flowers for Monday

Here are a few K-10 flowers with the Kiron 28mm f 2.0 , a nice sharp lens with very short MFD.

We share some camera history. I too started with a K200d. Upgraded to K20d after which the K5II became my next one.
This club with contributors like PaulH, Dartmoor Dave and many others made me look for a decent K10D.
From the start I was astonished by the IQ the K10d gave me. After number three arrived I decided it was time to say good bye to the K5II.
I know I will miss some features from the K5II but those are less important to me.

It was fun hunting for nice K10d bodies.
Number three being the one with only 3900 clicks. Number two is the one I will use most of the time. Number one came with the rare Katzeye viewing screen. I use that body for available light shots with the Sigma 17-50 F2.8 lens, an excellent combination.

This is a good opportunity to thank all posters here who conviced me to upgrade "backwards". I avoid the word downgrade because to me the K10d is a clear case of upgrade.
