@Kdgparnell--It's a little OT, so if you want to discuss via PM, that'd be fine: Wonder how you choose to use a bellows/bellows lens rather than a macro lens and various extension tubes, particularly in the field. I have a late film-era book on macro shooting in the field but haven't gotten very far through it.

Photography really is about learning to see the world with new eyes
I was just chopping cabbage for dinner when I noticed that there was a beauty to its innermost pattern.

Shot wide open at F/1.4, so it's a bit soft and glowy, but I think it suits the subject. Colours slightly edited for a bit more pop.

Actually, the 35-70f has a macro mode of 1;1.37, and I added a +10 diopter to it. No extension tubes or converters. Probably not the most ideal way, but it worked

I came across this magical scene on the walk towards my internship today. Aside from a Haze Removal in Darktable, which I apply to every photo, it's entirely unedited - the colours really were that crazy
Shot with my "new" Sigma 28-105 2.8-4.0, which I got together with a 70-300 DL Macro at a crazy price. It really comes to life at F/8, feels a bit strange before that point.
I've also uploaded another image of the same scene taken with my fast fifty prime, with crazy bokeh balls

James, that's a wonderfully kind and generous offer but I really couldn't accept it. Losing my GX-10 has left me with a strong feeling that a more compact camera is the way for me to go now, and I've realised that a weighty camera bag over my shoulder just isn't what I want any more. So it wouldn't be fair for me to accept your truly kind offer when I'm not sure if I'd give the camera much use.

I've looked at your profile and I think your photos are really excellent, so it would be great to see some more of your own GX-10 photos when you've got some to post here.

Thank you again for your offer. It's a beautiful reminder of how wonderfully good-hearted people can be at their best.

If you change your mind here's a GX-10 on eekBay.

LBA got the best of me this past week and I picked up yet another lens I didn't "need" but was unable to pass up...

Just unboxed and shot

Promaster spec 7 100 macro 3.5 AF on my K10d

Guard Hornet

Thats about as close as I dare get, being a tad allergic.

tight crop...
Guard Hornet (Cropped Tight)

Nice little light weight macro.. I have its cousin(phoenix) as non AF...very useful lenses.
