Thank you sir! It’s the kit lens; DA L. Not great reviews, but it does the job.
It gets pretty decent reviews actually... and is probably one of the best bargains of all Pentax-land...

This might be a stupid question... having not looked at my K10d for a week or two and using other cameras, I'm used to the LCD screen displaying something when the shutter is 1/2 pressed. On my K10d the LCD doesn't light up when the shutter is lightly pressed, only when I push Info or Fn... is this correct or did something break or is this a setting somewhere? When first turn it on I get the guide screen and when I change exposure modes the guide screen displays... but not when I press the shutter 1/2 way... I'm talking the back screen...maybe LCD is the wrong term.

When you half-press the shutter button, the top LCD illuminates, but not the rear one. The rear comes on for review after taking a shot, or when pressing the menu or Fn button. The camera does not have live view.

yes, that's how mine work... you use a K-70 and a K-3iii for a couple of weeks and you forget how everything' else works
