This is the first picture with my K10D and the 55-300 DA lens. This is at full zoom, handheld. It's heavily overcast so it's not the best.
Very pretty scene. I'd probably try a different position, away from the out of focus trees in the foreground if possible. Good job!

Can't do it; as I'm on my deck. Going down on the ground, I wouldn't be able to shoot thru more trees. This was the only position that showed the cute cabin with the colorful trees.

I'm loving the K10D more and more. This was with the 55-300 handheld.
I can see why.

Nice image.

Well, each day I'm loving my K10D more. I originally bought it as a backup to a new body, yet to be purchased. However, I'm finding I'm in no real hurry to get a new body, and put the K10D in the background. Sure the shutters "clunk" is noisy, but the K10D feels perfect in my hands, and it's capabilities are many, that I've not even touched yet!

For those that are reluctant to buy an older camera, I highly recommend giving it a try, you might be surprised! This is with the 18-55WR kit lens, on a very gloomy day, handheld. Only processing was a large cropping.

Took the K10D with a M42 mount Vivitar Series 1 90 mm macro into the backyard for a late summer test. I have not used the lens in decades and the eyes are not as good as they used to be but I gave manual focus a try.

The results look quite good.

Here's a couple I took with the 18-55WR, handheld. The viola is an extremely tiny flower to photograph.

That second shot is truly beautiful. I've never got anywhere close to that quality with my 18-55WR, and I'm mightily impressed by the subtlety and naturalness of colour you've achieved.

Here's a couple from last night. First with the inevitable Super Takumar 20mm:

And one with the Zenitar 16mm:
