I'm using a K10D with manual lenses.
Normal I set the aperture on the lens (camera in M-mode), push the green button and the camera will set the shutter time to make a proper exposed photo.

One way or another that green button doesn't work anymore.
Not sure what I do wrong here....anyone?

You might try the DOF preview switch around the shutter button. Rotate the switch all the way to the left and it should stop down the lens. Not sure if the camera will calculate shutter speed, but worth a try.

Thanks, did try that before and sometimes the camera calculate the shutter speed, but not anymore.
I wonder if I changed something in the menu that i'm not aware of
Green button always worked with my manual lenses and suddenly not anymore
Changed to different manual lenses, but no result

I guess you could try to reset the camera to default settings. Failing that, use the good old Sunny 16 rule or bring a light meter or app with you. Best of luck!

Back to default is a good idea, I'll try that this weekend Paul, thank you.

Sunny f16 I know, but I've a good light meter as well (because I also shoot quite a bit of analog), so that's not a problem.

Today I had a nice surprise. Nube (Spanish for Cloud) came to visit after a year since we TNRed her. I'm so happy she's still alive.

Pentax K10D + Pentax HD DA 55-300 WR

I just got a copy of the HD DA 55-300 WR for my old cameras and I'm liking it a lot more than the first copy I had many years ago.

Tried it out with a 50mm A f/1.7 under constant light, close up manual focus does the eyes in a bit........but it seemed to work ok.
