I love the almost infrared look of the leaves in the B&W shot. Is it a filter on the lens or a post-processing effect? Or a natural effect of the light?
It's a strange thing: I hate post-processing on colour shots and try to keep it to the absolute minimum of contrast and sharpening adjustments, but with B&W I'm happy to go nuts in Photoshop. I think it's a throwback to the film era, when colour meant slides with no pp possible, but B&W meant happy hours of dodging and burning in the darkroom.
Here's one from yesterday converted in Alien Skin Exposure, which I always use for B&W but would never dream of using in colour.
