apologies for the large size, but an older pic taken with the K55/1.8 on my k10 (cross posted from the k55 thread quite a while back).

Good ones, saladin!
Here's a b/w with the K10D & original version 18-55 kit lens, stopped down to f/11 I think. (xposted)

Crikey! Look at the detail in that. You are making me want to create a few images with my SMC 55/1.8. It is probably the same lens with a different mount.

That is a pleasant B&W conversion, Paul.

I love the almost infrared look of the leaves in the B&W shot. Is it a filter on the lens or a post-processing effect? Or a natural effect of the light?

It's a strange thing: I hate post-processing on colour shots and try to keep it to the absolute minimum of contrast and sharpening adjustments, but with B&W I'm happy to go nuts in Photoshop. I think it's a throwback to the film era, when colour meant slides with no pp possible, but B&W meant happy hours of dodging and burning in the darkroom.

Here's one from yesterday converted in Alien Skin Exposure, which I always use for B&W but would never dream of using in colour.

Couldn't you use the [imgwide] tag to adjust the size as posted?

Very nice shot by the way!

Looks a little like the old red+polariser for B&W sky drama from the old days.
Very impressive

Ok...I will play...

My K10D is my first digital SLR and it has been a dependable tool in the almost 7 years I have owned it. I have had few complaints and many times I am simply in awe of the images it has provided. Here is a recent shot from just after Thanksgiving on the Oregon Coast.

Dragon's Breath

Pentax K10D, KMZ MC Zenitar 16/2.8 Fisheye

and a couple more from not too long after I got the camera...

Leaf Petiole

Pentax K10D, Pentax-M 50/1.7 on bellows

Abstract in White

Pentax K10D, Pentax-M 50/1.7 on bellows

Thanks guys. I used digiKam (kind of an open-source Lightroom) to edit this shot. I did use a red filter effect & applied some local contrast. Here's the color version.

Awesome work on this page, by the way!

I really like that Dragon's Breath image. Very nice composition and colours. I'd be happy with that if I had taken it.
