Last night it did OK.
ISO 1600 (maxed out) with monopod support.
The lens was an old Tamron SP23A 60-300mm and I was shooting wide open because the light was so bad.
The light may have been bad but the photo isn't. Very well handled.

Especially when paired with skilled hand ! Besides we often simple watch photos on the screen or do small prints.. for that K10D ISO 1600 is still plenty enough with a bit NR and PP .. more than adequate.

Yes, what he said. I, too, have proven that a properly exposed ISO 1600 shot with careful PP can look quite good. Don't write off a K10D at 1600.
