Thanks Paul, and a very Merry Christmas too you.
That little lovable ball of fur is the "boss" around here. He is a purebred Australian Shepard, the most hardheaded,
stubborn dog I have ever had. But, he is my best friend, always there for me.

I got a K10D new from 'Jessops', Chelmsford, Essex ( England) in 2006 I had won £ 250-00 of Jessops vouchers ! I use it for my 'Work' Photography for local newspapers -- for my 'Personal Photography' I use my FILM cameras. I use many older 'Screw' lenses on the K10D and have done some A4 Ink-jet prints from it for my Club.
Floodlit Football, 135mm f2.5 SMC Takumar at f2.5

135mm f2.5 SMC Takumar at f2.5, ISO 1000

50mm f4 SMC Macro-Takumar + extension tube, Tungsten lights.

24mm f2.8 SMC Pentax-A at full aperture, ISO 1000

18-55mm f3.5 SMC Pentax-DA kit lens

Very nice pentaxpete, even at iso 1000 the noise is hardly noticeable.
I don't know about everyone else, but I am sincerely very pleased and very happy
with my K10's.

Although I recently bought a K-3, I don't plan on losing my K10D anytime soon.

A very nice series, especially that shot at 1000 ISO. I am impressed as I would normally avoid going that high. I may not in future. TFS.

As long as you use a long lens for shots like that your K10D should be pretty safe.

When I used to shoot film with my Spotmatics most of my lenses were primes. Since I got my K10D in 2007 and started acquiring K-mounts, all of my lenses were zooms. So, I decided to get myself a prime lens and, seeing as 50mm or 55mm were my most used focal lengths, I decided to get a DA 35mm f2.4 AL as that is 52.5mm on APS-C. I found that this budget priced lens and the K10D make a great combination.

Here are two of my early images using the DA 35mm:

These are great - reminds me I don't use my 35/2.4 nearly enough!

Great to catch up with postings after being away over Xmouse.
Some lovely images here - thanks everyone for sharing them.
I managed to find a Fujinon EBC 55mm f1.8 lens over the break, and took some quick pix to see how it performs.
Here is a sample - second image is 100% crop of first

Hi Tom,
Nice find. Boy, that 100% crop is SHARP. A new lens could not be any sharper.

Impromptu snap before the christmas tree was de-decorated. K10 pushed to ( past? lol) it's limits: 1/15th, handheld, ISO 1600 and then pushed a stop in post.
