K10D & Sigma 17-70 DC Macro v1
Didn't mean to shoot this wide-open, but I still like the result.

Just a couple of my restored 97 Ford EL Fairmont Ghia with my K10D & Sigma 28-105 UC-III.
Nice car and nice images.
Are people restoring these now?
I still drive my 98EL - it is just about to have its 270,000km service.
It has a long way to go to catch my old 92 VP Commodore which is still motoring at just over 800,000km - I sold it to get the EL haha

K10D And the Plastic Fantastic

Speaking of cars, here's a couple from yesterday's Golden Super Cruise.
I mostly used the K-5 and DA 16-45mm, but did a few with the K10D and DA35.
Both are @ f/2.8, 1/160-1/200s, ISO 400. The GTO is a 50% crop of the original frame.

Great shots everyone - I enjoy a lot looking at those ! here are few shots from today's playing with the camera and home made close up lens ( a front group from scrapped Sigma zoom ) - with 50mm 1:2.8 macro it goes to over 1:1 magnification ! Very happy with this setup!

#1 - crazy K10D CCD color frenzy :P - note saturation wasn't increased in this shot - it is like it was in RAW file , developed with default settings in LR 5

#2 - I have no idea what this thing is :P - all I know it was maybe 3-4mm long with long antennas :P - saturation again intact from the original RAW file

#3 - I waited for this fly to come to my spot .. she finally did and then I snapped :P - there wasn't much colours anyway in this photo so I liked it better in BW

Nice work, manntax. The bug looks like a katydid nymph to me.

Yeah Paulh - you are probably right ! I just had a peek on Google and those indeed resemble the critter I saw ( mine one looks like a young specimen though).
Thanks for stepping in!

Beautiful shots Manntax!! I long for the day I can shoot like this, sigh maybe one day lol
Sure you will - that day isn't far away in fact - as long as you go out and shoot - you improve! I remember my pitiful macros from last year - now I feel I am approaching somewhere but nowhere close to what some present So keep shooting and share some of your shots here on forum

Nice work, Manntax. Good colours (of course they are, you used a K10D) and great macros from a home made lens.

Just a quick snap taken by my wife this morning - very minimal editing. We think this is our dog Jeannie's favorite place to roam

I have always had a soft spot for the pickups from the '30's, and the ghost flames are a perfect added touch. The Goat is also a favorite of mine.

*sigh*

If I had one of every ride I really like I wouldn't have room for them all.

Nice shots Ron!
