Can't beat the K10D for color rendition; I have two of them!
I had a K200D before, but I had to replace it. The K10D was cheaper and had better controls to my liking, so ..............

They are both very good at color rendering.

Here is one from today. Super Takumar 35/3.5, f/5.6, 0.7s, ISO 100

Were both of your shots taken on foggy days? The focus looks off on both as well.

Hi! Thank you for the nice comment.

Like calicojack said, where the photos taken on a high humidity day? This could be the cause.

I usually shoot raw and add contrast, clarity and vibrance @ +25 in Bridge before adjusting the other sliders. Then go to CS to make necessary corrections.

Here's one of my first shots with the K10, taken a few years ago - using a Sigma 28-90 in macro mode (wide-open and iso 400! ) For some reason, the Flickr jpg compression seems to add "splotchiness" to photos at times....

They were more or a tongue in check response to this thread where we all pine over the mystical colour rendition our 10yr old cameras have.

The shot of the water was overexposed and the focal point was set to the breaking crest of the wave below the horizon, which is naturally moving thus blurred.. which really hides the focal point. Similarly the shot of the scrub had the focal point in the sleet / mist rain (above the green, but below the tops of the trees) again to hide the focal point from you. Why hide the focal point in a barren stark looking image? Simply thought it might be a good idea that's why : P

I was interested in trying to depict what silence, well being board, lazy, disinterested, unsatisfied may look like.

But it seemed like a neat enough image to tease you all about colour rendition

This is one of the very first pictures I took with my K10D back in 2008. I took it with a 25 year old Takumar 28-80 zoom lens. It was manual focus and exposure so I do not know what the settings were. It was taken hand.

It took me awhile to get the colors right on my K10D. I switched from my Super Program to the K10D so it was quite the adjustment. I bought a new K3 last year but I still have my K10D. I have been mainly using it for manual focus lens.

Well, I must admit I was wrong. I had replied to members that I had no interest, nor would I ever use a grip. Well I just got another mint K10D that came with the grip! All I have to say is, I Love It!! Granted it makes for a heavier outfit, but that's the only negative I can say about it. With my Tokina 400 mm lens, it makes an awesome package!
I have that Tokina 400 in a MF lens that I used on my K10D. It is one of my favorite telephoto lens. I use it with a grip as well. My camera came with the grip, so it has been on there since day one. I have tried to shoot without the grip but the balance seems off. All my film cameras had power winders except my K1000 so I guess it just seems natural to me.
