Still getting a hang on the K10D...
I'll post some thoughts on it in a bit but one thing I want to say is that the K10D is much more dependent on having the right exposure than the CMOS cameras I've had (Sony and Samsung sensors). If you underexpose, the colors end up darker and lifeless and lifting the exposure can't fix it. If you overexpose, some colors will have a more "pastel" look to them which is fine if that is what you are going for. Proper exposure on the other hand will reward with amazingly natural and great colors. One interesting thing is that of the pictures I've been "throwing away", many of them, due to good exposure, actually have great colors and rendering, and sometimes this CCD 3D effect (like in the flower picture above). But in these pictures I decide not to pursue, I'm the one who didn't do a proper job with composition, or maybe a shot that I thought was going to work, ended up being just bleh. The K10D is making me want to be a better photographer, in that sense
