Right - I'm still on 1.30 with no issues, so I'll just stick with it.
I am on 1.31 (can't remember when I updated it). I have had no issues with it. For me, it did not fix any problems nor did it cause any. K10D just keeps on keeping on.

Thanks to work I don't take as many photos as I used to and I have a K-3 with less than 200 clicks on it I got last year. I also have a K-5 I liked and used more but I used my K10D most of all. I still like it for low ISO stills.

When was the last firmware released?
The last firmware was released 4/22/2010. This was firmware 1.31 which improved stability of SHDC memory cards. Version 1.30 added the ability to use SDM and HSM lens with built-in motors.

Squirrel shots seen to be quite popular in these forums
Good shots with those rich K10d greens!

That loud "snick-snick" shutter sound from the K10D, I definitely did not miss that. I tried to sell my K10D about 3 years ago in the local CL - didn't even get a nibble at 150.00 Cad, that I decided to convert it to IR and kept it. Visiting the K10D club off and on when I log into the Forums got me thinking; if I can score a pristine, gently used one with a very low mileage (like my K10D IR) at a low price, I'd grab it - so I grabbed it! Some pictures from a local garden on my home from making the purchase:

Very nice scenes. Very typical of what you would expect from a K10D.

Thanks, I remember how the everything seemed very vivid when I shot with K10D hence this CBA for nostalgia sake.

I've never had any of my DSLRs on anything other than manual and spot metering.
I don't like pattern because it meters too much of the scene, and meters more than what I'm shooting. Course I shoot birds, flowers, insects, and squirrels, so spot metering is the best for those kinds of shots.

NIce images everyone! Maybe it's just me, but I find the K10D output to be a bit more subdued and natural looking, compared to the newer CMOS sensor offerings. I recently acquired a very nice, low mileage K-5, and I'm having trouble coming to grips with its images. Yes, the noise and DR are improved, but the colors just seem too bright and cartoonish to me (shooting RAW). I definitely need to work out a good PP workflow! I'm sure that in time I'll come to love the K-5 after my "difficult" adjustment period.

Do you have your brightness level set to natural or bright. Mine, on all my cameras is set as, natural. And yes, I only shoot RAW.

I gave my K10D to my granddaughter after she graduated HS and is heading off to the Airforce. We're hoping to have a sesion before she goes to Japan, and then the service. Simple: K10D with the original 18-55. I can't wait untill she returns already.

I always thought those were jpeg settings, but yes - the camera is set to be as neutral as possible. It's not so much the brightness, but the tonality of flowers and other colorful things. Something I'll have to adjust to after years of using CCD sensor bodies.

My first DSLR, the K100D had those settings for Bright, Natural, etc. And I was shooting RAW (PEF) they seemed too bright of colors, so I changed it to natural and then the colors weren't so bright, like over processed greens.
