Nope, mama was happily munching grass just out of the right of frame. That's another slightly older foal playing the "Let's canter right at a two-legs and try to scare them" game.
Edit: I always try to be honest in my photography, so I'll mention that these are what we call "car park ponies". They hang around parking spots because they know they'll get treats from dumb tourists who don't know any better, and of course in the process they lose all fear of humans. Which is a bad thing because it disrupts their natural instincts, and of course those sugary snacks are disastrous for their health. This was taken only about 30 feet away from where my car was parked, and it's actually the sort of photo that I always feel slightly ashamed of.
But just in case anyone here ever does visit Dartmoor, can I just say one thing: DON'T FEED THE PONIES!!!
