Taken from a covered bridge at Bear Creek Park, Keller, TX. From the same outing as the previous photo:

Taken earlier this month during a dogwalk. Since then we've had our first freeze and the vines have withered. F35-80:

I've been thinking about adding a stylish handwritten signature to my works to give them that last little touch of professional polish.

Doesn't get any more stylish than that, Dave.

Down here in Australia that would be known as the "Thumbnail Dipped In Tar" font.

That term comes from a poem called "Clancy of the Overflow" by A.B. "Banjo" Paterson. And I quote:

I had written him a letter which I had, for want of better
Knowledge, sent to where I met him down the Lachlan, years ago,
He was shearing when I knew him, so I sent the letter to him,
Just "on spec", addressed as follows: "Clancy, of The Overflow".

And an answer came directed in a writing unexpected,
(And I think the same was written in a thumbnail dipped in tar)
'Twas his shearing mate who wrote it, and verbatim I will quote it:
"Clancy's gone to Queensland droving, and we don't know where he are."

I like it! Are you left handed or right handed? Or maybe it was done with a foot?

Thanks folks. My handwriting's usually a bit better than that, but it had been a tough day and I'd relaxed with a bit too much of that lovely shiraz that Ray and his compatriots have blessed the world with.

I've been a K10D user since they were released and have had good results with it for over a decade now. Here is a shot from a recent tour round Europe of clouds forming over Gibraltar as the Levant wind gets deflected up over the rock:

One of the few threads that I truly enjoy catching up on whenever I can. The photos are always beautiful. Thank you all for taking the time to post your wonderful work.

Winter is coming on (snow on the ground yesterday) and I am not interested in developing any color film in my freezing garage for a bit. So the K10D is out on the table again and will substitute nicely for the K1000 for the next few months.

All the talk of Takumars a few pages back has inspired me to hook up my newly acquired Tak 24. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'll take some time outdoors to see what comes of it.
