I've been having trouble seeing your photos lately, sadly. They are taking almost a minute each to load slowly line-by-line, almost like we're back in the days of dial-up browsing, and I'm sorry to say that I'm tending to move on to another page before all of them have finished. It could just be that I've got too slow an internet connection in my rural area, but in my case it's making viewing the entire thread a bit frustrating. Really sorry to have to say that, but it's sad that I'm not always getting to see the photos that you're posting.

@ChristianRock - I noticed the same, even on my reasonably fast connection. It's because the images being linked to are full size - the one I checked was 3888 x 2608 resolution, and 18.6MB in size. Might be an idea to store web resolution copies for sharing in the forums - say, 1200 x 800 or smaller - to increase download speed and economise on bandwidth utilisation...

Ah. Thanks for letting me know. I changed image hosts recently after flickr started charging and I hadn't realized that the full file gets loaded, since on my computer it shows as web size in this forum... it shows up as full size on my computer if I right click and select "Open Image in a new tab"... so I didn't think the one here in the forums was full size as well, just reduced by the forum software. My oops, my bad. I'll see what I can do from now on.

And again. Beautiful tones and soft colours here. The K10D is very versatile.

Exactly what I do, Mike. Of course keeping the full-res images stored locally.

That is a great image but the patterns on those tiles are playing tricks with my mind.

Ray,

I know what you mean! Also, while looking through my images from this trip, I discovered that most of the smaller towns I visited in Portugal had a similar (possibly identical!) pattern of tiles in their town squares. I’m guessing there were a lot of people staggering through these areas when the towns were first built!
