I'm sure you thought I was kidding about the automatic scenery changes and the stage lifts, and I was... but not completely! They actually use the ruins of the Roman amphitheater here for stage productions, with a fascinating juxtaposition of ancient and modern. See the following images:

Maybe they need to audition in order to get space! The quality is definitely higher than we normally see here in NY!!

Thanks, Paul. The quality of the light on that trip was unbelievable! We were in the middle of a heat wave, usually with absolutely no clouds in sky, although you can see a few here. Temperatures averaged over 100F for the 2 weeks we were there. Couple that with the K-10D and the colors were spectacular!
