Well it is pouring down in Bolton (UK) so I've had a play with the Samsung GX10 a Tamron/Adaptall SP 90mm f/2.5, some moss and a birthday card envelope!
Very well done! I was trying to figure what in the world this was before reading your description.

Very creative... I like it!

Yup, whilst it's been a mild winter in the UK, there have been - and still are - plenty of days where indoor photography's a lot more enticing

Fueled by endless Westerns I think most people in UK would expect a scene in Texas to be hot and dry but that image could easily be somewhere in England!

I think that's a common misconception. Texas is a large and diverse area, and many places are indeed hot and dry. But Springtime is always beautiful there, no matter where you are.

Another great posed shot of a pony, I don't know how you get them to stand still for you... not that I'm complaining, mind you. You can never have too many ponies!

Ah, if only they would stand still and pose for even a moment, but they never do. This one was done in my usual way: I saw the pony in a promising looking spot as I walked along, so I checked the light with my incident meter and set the exposure while I was 50 yards away so that I didn't have to worry about it anymore. Then I wandered along past the unsuspecting equine all casual-like, pretending not to even notice, and turned at the last moment to shoot. I got three frames before she realised what I was up to and walked away with a baleful glare.

It's a lot closer to street photography than landscape photography. Timing is everything.

Non-generic, arty-farty pony photo:

(Yes, I know. But six inches further away and I would have been lying in a stream).

So, you're telling us that you won't sacrifice for the sake of your art! Did I get that right?

(Nice shot anyway!)
