I like the way the path leads into the distance in the first image. It leaves me wondering.

It goes to a main path (ancient crumbling asphalt) - left goes to the lake - right goes back to the trailhead. Jeannie and I have logged a lot of miles on those trails!

I really like the color rendering in your photos. It gives a vintage look to it. Are these straight out of camera or do you do any editing on the PC? I noticed your photos are taken with different lenses yet they all have that same look. Thanks.

While I'm away from my K10D... some leftovers from left fall that I decided to process...

Fall leaves against the light...

Fall leaves on the water

An Open Gate

I think the first two are the K 50 f1.2 and the last one the K 55 f2, if I recall correctly.

I'm back to Corel Aftershot Pro 3 for my K10D files, and also for anything I want to process from JPEG. Got a great deal on a whole older photo-video suite (their 2018 bundle package, but Aftershot Pro hasn't changed since). Their proprietary Raw converter is atrocious for newer cameras, but for the K10D (old conversion from the time they were an independent company called Bibble) it's still pretty good.
And the Perfectly Clear algorhythm that they licence is just great, plus having used this software for so many years back with the K20D and then the K10D, I know it pretty well...
...plus I just learned some new tricks for black and white processing that I can't really do anywhere else

Oh and the workflow with ASP is really fast. I really missed that, because RawTherapee and DarkTable are much slower to do things. Sending files to be saved in the background while you continue working on other files makes a huge difference, for example.

Thank you, Pan.
Ray asked me a similar question a page back. Here's my answer,

"I have been shooting nearly 100 percent film for the better part of the past 6 years. Partially because of the cameras, but mostly because of the look that you get from well scanned color negative film.
Recently I got inspired to create an Adobe Camera Raw processing preset that would take RAW files from a DSLR and give it more of a color negative film look. I wouldn't say I succeeded in doing that , but I do feel I came up with a recipe that I really like and that in turn has inspired me to shoot with my K10D again.
I am more than happy to share the ACR preset with anyone, but yes, part of the preset involves lower contrast and lower saturation."

That 2nd photo cracks me up! The look on that water dragon's face... "I am beautiful and I know it, so I let you admire my perfection and take pictures!"

After a rocky start with Darktable 3.0 that almost made me give up on it, I'm finally coming to grips with it. It's like learning a new software even though the interface is the same, it's being all rewritten for linear RGB instead of Lab for the image manipulation. The new FilmicRGB module is where the power lies - I can now say as good as the previous versions of Darktable were, this is better.

So a couple more from last fall... with the M 100 2.8.
