Speechless.

Fallen Leaf reminds me of the song Fallen Leaves by Eva Cassidy the Canadian singer songwriter who died tragically young.
Highly recommended You tube.

Was he singing this song?

Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree
Merry, merry king of the bush is he
Laugh, Kookaburra! Laugh, Kookaburra!
Gay your life must be.

Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree
Eating all the gum drops he can see
Stop, Kookaburra! Stop, Kookaburra!
Leave some there for me.

Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree
Counting all the monkeys he can see
Stop, Kookaburra! Stop, Kookaburra!
That’s not a monkey that’s me.

That's a great song, Racer, but he wasn't singing it. He was just laughing at me. And nothing beats a good kookaburra laugh. Nothing!!
I knew that he was close because he was so loud. Then he calmly posed for me. It doesn't get much better than that.

Hello Ray,

Does the sound in any way reflect his funny name?
I am imagining the way that "kookaburra" sounds.

Thanks Ray.
Next time please warn me of what I can expect.

I was "motordeaf" for at least 40 minutes.
Still do not understand that such a small bird can make so much noise.

Australian birds are very noisy ... so they can be heard from afar.

My apologies! I knew what to expect.
Their size is not an indicator of how much noise that can make.

Well, Australia is a very big country!

Our house wrens are quite loud, and they are one of our smallest birds.
