Floral views with K-10 and vintage Mamiya/Sekor 50mm f 2.0 M42 mount.

Here are a few shots with the 1960s era Mamiya/Sekor 50mm f 2.0 M42 mount lens using the Pentax brand M42 adapter.

Here is a review I found for this old lens: Mamiya-Sekor 50mm F/2.0 M42 Lens On Fuji X-T1 ? Simon Hawketts' Photo Blog

Hello, I am new here, I bought a used K10D after being nostalgic with my first DSLR Nikon D70s.
This is the picture of Ford dealership in my neighborhood and we usually walk pass it during our weekend's afternoon walk.
Taken with D FA 28-105, if you notice majority of the used cars' brand starts with "H"

Are you sure this is a Ford dealership?

---------- Post added 08-02-20 at 09:31 AM ----------

Must admit I am one of these guys that does not bother to read the camera manual thinking I do not need that already knowing everything.

Going through the functions with the function selector I came across the Sv mode.
Strangely enough the Fn knob does not allow you to change the ISO setting for Sv.
Longtime ago I changed the ISO value to 1600 to have maximum ISO at hand should I need that.
No idea how I managed to do that. The manual does not help much, it only states the setting can be changed.

After trying some options I decided to use the AE-L knob together with the rear rotating dial.
That does the trick. The other K10d bodies now have the same setting for ISO.

Dear colleagues, I already own a Pentax *istD and I appreciate its particular colour output. Do you think I will perceive much differences if I get a K10D? Thanks for your input.

The color output is very similar since they both utilize a Sony CCD sensor. The K10D offers more resolution, shake reduction and a larger body with different controls. I have both, and enjoy them both very much!

Yeah it is .
Thank you for sharing the trick, I am also same kind of person as I tend to try first and fix it later.

They are not wearing the identification collar yet? I saw all the swans near my office in Docklands (back then before pandemic) are all wearing the collar, same with the swans in Albert Park lake.

Hi David,
These swans are currently on a private lake within our retirement village. When the cygnets mature and are able to fly they will probably relocate to Tuggerah Lake which is just over 5kms from here and has a large black swan community.
I doubt that any of those swans have ID collars.

Stop thinking!
Go for a K10d as long as these bodies can still be found for extremely friendly prices.
Paul H summed up the advantages of the K10d over the istD.
I own three of them averaging 60 euro including a clean K10d with only 3900 clicks.
Even sold the K5II because I do not need extreme high ISO and can live with less perfect AF performance of the K10d.
No life view either, who needs life view?

Thanks for those images. Colour rendering is fantastic, probably due to the Mamiya macro lens.

I bought a K10d about this time last year, and though I've been too distracted with other things to get out and about with it (or any other camera for that matter) I have caught a few things about home. These were taken with an DA 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL WR lens (1st & 2cnd), and an F 35-80mm f4-5.6 (3rd);
