I bought a K10d about this time last year, and though I've been too distracted with other things to get out and about with it (or any other camera for that matter) I have caught a few things about home. These were taken with an DA 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL WR lens (1st & 2cnd), and an F 35-80mm f4-5.6 (3rd);

Beautiful colour rendering. Very easy on the eye.

T'was the K10 what done it, of course, Ray, and a punnet of cheap petunias from Big W or Mitre 10, can't remember. They were pretty much as shot, straight in and out of DXO photolab for resizing. You can tell this one was from the more expensive Nielsens Nursery, with it's prissie ruffles and softer textures. It even got business class treatment with a little extra sharpening and contrast enhancement in processing. Again taken with kit 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL WR zoom;

I ordered a K10D yesterday. My first Pentax DSLR. I have several Pentax film cameras from H1A, SV and a few Spotmatics and a K1000.
Looking forward to using the K10D, should be here by Aug 15.

An absolutely excellent 1st choice!

Next to my Q7 this is my most used digital Pentax and I love the color rendering of the sensor.

This one was taken on the last day my K10D worked as the piece of art we all know.
A few weeks later my dad borrowed my K10D to go on vacations with my mom and after a couple of shots... No more K10D, "main circuit fried" (mirror goes crazy with anything you do)

Now she's a beautiful piece of art in my living room, full of memories

The plane... An Argentina Air Force Mirage M5 "Mara" during an AMAZING airshow where all Argentinian Mirages were saying good bye after several decades of service.

The Camera: My beloved K10D with a Sigma 170-500

It wasn't cropped, it was a low (Argentinian style) pass and even at 170mm couldn't get the whole Mirage

Great shot! Sorry to hear sometimes these great cameras develop a major problem that makes them useless.
It is one of the reasons I decided to lay my hands on any reasonably priced K10d.

- made me smile Paul - just look at it!

More pinks in a Strawflower cultivar from the K10d and 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL. I thought it was WR as well but looking at it just then is just AL - not to worry, it was a bonus that came with the camera and seems to have been taking good pics anyway. The third is with the DA 50-200mm f4-5.6 ED, another, greatly appreciated, bonus.

Yes, that is unusual bokeh, Paul.

More beautiful shots, Richard. Nothing wrong with those two lenses. They were the ones that I started with on my K10D journey. I have a few more now.

I was surprised at the amount of detail I was getting with the 18-55mm. I got this pic of a tree taken on a short walk through a local nature reserve near home and had to double check the exif data to be sure itt hadn't been taken with the 40mm xs I had just bought. I did use a tripod and timer, I think. I did have high hopes for the 50-200mm, and it lived up to them - this native Hibiscus taken just off that trail was taken hand held.

Glad I could be of service, guys. It's actually quite a decent lens, given how inexpensive it is. It's a Sigma-made house brand for the now-defunct Wolf Camera stores. Nice shooting with those underrated kit lenses, btw!

Yeah! she had been in surgery before (something got loose inside due to a fall on the floor) but this time was terminal...
Once again, nothing to complain about! it's a great camera, even today with a lot of improvements in the area
