Thanks, CR. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good! Considering that I was in a bus when that landscape flashed by my window, I was pretty happy with the way the image turned out.

I have my K10s set more to the middle of the grid, but I shoot mostly RAW.

That is exactly why there's RAW. If AWB doesn't quite get it right then it is so, so easy to adjust it in post. Much more difficult to fix if you have let the camera cook it into the JPG. It's like trying to unscramble an egg.

So , what I was wondering , . Was , should I not try to get the best auto white balance , even if shooting raw .
Or jpeg + raw.

Indeed, it does! The combination of sunlight, the color recorded by the K-10D and the, to me, unfairly maligned FA 28-80mm lens, was magical. I sometimes wonder whether I got the only "good" copy of that lens.
