Thanks! Actually, this stream, called Arroyo Conejo, runs right through those Star Trek hills.

This one's from a national park. During shooting I was a bit worried if the foreground would end up underexposed.

K10D + F35-80 f/4-5.6 + PL filter.

Here's another flower pic I took in July at a local park.

Beautiful images of wattle, Richard. Very well recorded and processed.

Thanks Ray - they must be in full swing down there if not already past their prime. This was taken a month or so ago.

We have been in lockdown for longer than that so I have not had a chance to check them out.

Ray, by "lockdown" what do you mean? Are you not allowed to venture outside at all?

Hi Paul, we are under "Stay at Home" health orders. You are only allowed to leave your house for a small number of reasons - obtain food or other goods and services locally, for medical or caring reasons, including obtaining a COVID-19 vaccination, exercise and take outdoor recreation - stay within 5km of your home, plus a couple more.
I am fortunate to live in a gated retirement village. We have a large internal area where we can walk freely in the open air but where we must wear masks. Fines of $3000 apply is you are caught breaking the orders. I comply.
The orders may be relaxed a little in our area and we are waiting for an announcement later today.

My wife and I are both double vaccinated and we hope that will allow us some level of freedom.

Thanks, Richard. I hope it won't take that long. I need some new subjects to photograph.

Let’s try and stay on topic folks. There is a discussion thread elsewhere on the forum regarding vaccinations, but even there the topic is limited.

This is a difficult time for the world, and we might be better served to focus on our passion for photography, and not think about the troubles that are distracting us.

Thanks everyone for your understanding.

Now put that camera to work!
