Just got in... At a whooping 1,610 actuations... And Firmware at 1.00

I honestly wonder, should I upgrade the Firmware? This will be an M42 body, so AF is not an issue.

I love how the shutter sounds. It is HEAVY; built like a tank. Makes my K-50 seem like plastic.

An Outdoor and indoor shot with the Tak 35/3.5 - it will come with me in the next few days, as I love how this lens renders colours in the sun (likely must wait until Friday for the sun)

Then I had to see what the Macro-Tak could give me with this body...

At this point I realized that I was shooting at ISO 400... so for the remaining shots I went down to ISO 100

A few touches on PP, not much. No problem with AWB honestly, it behaved well.

I note the RAW files are as big as those from the K-50 (but less MP, so go figure)...

If this camera had live view, it would be a work of art in itself. Only used it for 30 minutes, but it feels like one of those bodies that urges you to shoot...

Those are some really great images. I often regret selling my K10D when I upgraded to a KP, but the live view and focus peaking with my old "M" and "A" lenses were the driving force behind that decision. Definitely should have kept is as a backup.

Thank you... Now I've spent about one-to-two weeks with the K10D... the K-50 stays collecting dust on the shelf...

Live view and focus peaking - I understand why you upgraded, especially that live view!!!

I do own more modern dSLRs with these capabilities, so I do not miss out on much; I just keep in mind that if I take the K10D out, it will be to shoot joyfully without rush.

One of the best K-series lenses out there. Great image and composition.

This is a great shot. You always do wonders with those kit lenses, Paul.

Thanks, Ed. For me, the 18-135 is a cut above a "kit lens"

Ohh I missed the FL range.... I saw 18- and figured was the 18-55....

Nevertheless, great shot, lots of depth, great curves...

Having my brother's GF wander into the frame helped a bit, imo

I am going through the recent posts on this thread. I have mine up for sale and likely sold...

Hope I'm not sorry. The colors are Fujichrome-esque.
