I have had a small number of "partial" lockups.... camera freezes but within a few seconds gets back to normal
never had a full lock where I had to remove the batteries, though.
good to know if it happens that the camera is A-OK

My DL did something similar when I was in the middle of some heavy use of the 540. I took the batteries out and put them back in again and it hasn't missed a beat since (haven't been shooting so much with the flash since then either though).

This is why I have changed to Eneloop batteries in my DS, less chance of them running down in storage.

I installed the V1.10 Firmware yesterday and my lockup problem is gone! I am really starting to like this new camera. Now if I can only figure out how to use it.
