Are new firmwares cumulative?

I was wondering if Pentax firmware files are cumulative, meaning that if a later firmware includes the previous updates to firmware. Does anybody here can provide with an answer?

Thanks and Happly New Year!

Yeah, firmware on devices don't add to what's there, they replace it (which is why an interrupted update can brick them).
