K1O RAW button broke

The RAW button on my K10D only repsonds to once only no matter what I set it for in the custom menu. Firmware fix? Doing something wrong? Any ideas?

Thanks

What? I don't understand what you're saying.

It doesn't activate at all? Or does it only "flip" to one choice or another? Also, not sure if it's like my K200D, but you have to hold it down for about 1/2 a second to activate.

And, if it's like the K200D menu, it's a bit misleading.

The menu makes it look like you can rotate between 3 settings:

JPEG
RAW
RAW+

when really it functions as a toggle, not a rotation.

At least, that's how it works on the k200d.

I have my K10D sitting here next to me. I tried the RAW button and it toggles between Raw+ and Jpeg with each.. I have not done any modifications to the menus or buttons at all. Which version of firmware do you have in the camera? I have the latest (v1.30). Good luck!

Clarification

Setting the RAW button on the custom menu to continious RAW + jpeg until pushed again does not work. It still shoots one time only. Am I reading the manual wrong on this?

There's a known bug in the K10D RAW button

...if set in the custom menu to take effect till pushed again.

It WILL take effect until pushed again, unless you use the VIEW button to view the picture. In that case it reverts to the original mode, as if you pushed the RAW button again.

Might this be the problem ?
