Yes, photography is my most expensive hobby, but that's because I choose to spend my money on camera gear, not guitars. I have friends who spend a LOT more on guitars than I ever thought about spending on my photography habit.

Nope, the only thing gun laws do is to keep guns from law abiding citizen like us.

Is it like Florida? Nobody who lives in Florida is actually from Florida.

Most people I have met here are "natives" Although I am born and raised on the east coast of Florida(Cape Canaveral area) and I can attest that the snow birds are ruining the state.

I was born and raised in California, which is why I wouldn't want to live there. Visiting is nice though.

2 reasons why I wouldn't live there, the others being cost of living, taxes, and silly laws.

I think you can lump silly laws in with the liberals, the taxes arent much worse than where I came from. Bama always found a way to bend me over come tax time.

Exactly.

Which is why none of my guns are registered.

I could think of a lot worse to call it.

Florida is where college kids go to party nekkid and drunk on the beach, and old people to spend their golden years before they die.

Oh, and where astronauts used to go to get blasted into space.

They are flocking to Arizona too.

I'm a "native" of California too.

But I was raised everywhere. Chesapeake and Norfolk Virginia. Philadelphia. Oak Harbor Washington. Stayton and SIlverton Oregon. Bothell, Everett, Tulalip, Stanwood, Marysville and now Arlington Washington.

Give it time.

You will soon find out how "wonderful" a place it is.

I had only spent a few years of my life there before my family moved (dad was a lifer in the Navy, we moved a lot). I went back once when an uncle and cousin were killed in a light plane crash (I was 10). Then made another visit for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, I was 19. Another visit while married to Wife 1.0 in the mid 1980's, we took a drive down the coast.

I didn't go back again until I retired from turning wrenches and took up truck driving.

I hardly recognize the place. And it is overrun by strangers, from strange lands. English is no longer the dominant language. And the roads are so poorly maintained. I rue every time I see the name of a city there on a load assignment.

They have been saying for years that there will be an earthquake and the place will slide into the Pacific ocean. Can't happen soon enough, as far as I am concerned.

I have 2 money pits, my 7-year old grandson (WA) and my 10-month old granddaughter (VA). Actually, I should count my wife as #3, as she ensures that #1 & #2 remain at the top.

My son's boss has convinced him to start riding a road bike. He said, "Go to a bike store and get measured for a TREK. Look at a $4,000 bike. Then say you'll have to talk to your wife and leave.

Go on Craigslist - you can get that exact bike within a week for $500."

I guess that's their version of showrooming.
And that bike will be stolen

Anyone who has that $4000 would not sell it for $500. That would be like selling your K5 IIs for $100 after you used it for a yr.
