Any time I start feeling that I spend too much someone passes me driving a heavy pickup with two mountain sleds in the back. I usually go buy another lens.

It was expensive before digital for sure. But I missed those days. Dark room equipment, films to be developed, trip to processing shop or camera shop and buy more films....and round and round you go and wallet gets lighter

I have a bunch of Datsuns. A 72 2 owner car, the brown one. A 72 road race car with racing history back to 1979, the red one.

I also have a 70 that is a low serial number car that needs a restoration, a 78 280 that also needs either a restoration or have all the good bits removed and then scrapped, eleven 240 to 280 parts cars, and a 79 280ZX that I paid $200 for and then drove for almost 20 years as a beater.

Nice I'm going to be drifting mine soon. I'm collecting parts and such after I'm satisfied with camera gear. I wanted to take my photography a little more serious his season since I do a lot of media for grassroots drift events/series!

Photography is my most expensive hobby (other than eating). Last year I sold my Canon Rebel and all of my lenses to buy the K-5 (now discontinued). Still saving money to upgrade from the kit lens...

Another great photographer!

If the trend continues, Pentax will soon dominate the market!

It's by far my most expensive hobby. But nothing against my girlfriend's horse.

My other hobby is bird watching - so I was going to say "yes, definitely!" But then, actually, in 2013 I sold enough photos to run even... none of my other hobbies generate income!

Does travelling count as a hobby? If so, that would count as the most expensive one. But I'm not sure it does: I couldn't survive long without travelling, so it is more of a life necessity. Wait - that goes for photography too!

Hmm. This question is obviously more complicated than I expected it to be...

Also, I might add, not by FAR as expensive as I would like it to be!!

Ha! A former girlfriend was a rider. When she bought a horse she took in a boarder to pay for the beast and its upkeep. I found another girlfriend.

Seems there is a connection between women and horses. I have dated many women over the years who had them. It was always fun to go ride with them too!
