I want to take a picture of inside of an OVF

I would like to take a picture of the inside of the viewfinder on my K-3. I'm looking to have a picture that shows the green display on the bottom of the VF and the focus points.
I've tried internet searches but it's a difficult search to get the wording right.
I tried to take the pic with my K-01 with a Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro. The macro just didn't workout.
Any help would be appreciated.

That lens is probably a bit long. I would try a 50mm and focus on the inside of the VF- that should do the trick.

I've had the best luck doing this with a compact camera. Just putting my camera phone right up to the viewfinder gives good results.
