Shutter Sound Level Comparison K-30, K-5, K-3

Short video comparison sound levels of shutters of these three cameras.
K-5 is quietest of the three tested.

Yeah, well my K-3 feels like it sounds like it's quieter than my old K-5

My favorite shutter sound is from the K-01. Sounds like a slot machine. Like I just might win something. And sometimes I win a beautiful photograph

I was contemplating picking up a T3i/600D to play with Magic Lantern until I heard the shutter sound

I just upgraded from a K-x to a K-50 and I have to say that the shutter is a bit quieter, if only because the WR seals may muffle the sound a bit. It's not a huge difference but it is definitely a bit quieter than the loud K-x shutter.

Thanks for the likes folks.
When the K-3 came out I was hopeful it would be even quieter than the K-5, since one of the features touted was the new shutter damping mechanism.
Now I know that if I have to shoot in a quiet theater or church, the K-5 will be the better choice.

Did the cameras in your test have lenses attached and if so, were they the same three lenses?
