The clipping blues blues

Hi!

Spring has come here in Sweden, and a lot of pretty flowers are popping up. Many of them are a very intense blue, and I'm having trouble retaining the colour without losing details. I use a k10d and shoot raw. Does anyone know any good tricks?

Erik

Exposure is prolly gonna be the key. If the shadows are too close to the color getting the details is going to be problematic. Are you shooting macro or just regular? Have you tried an of camera flash?

Thanks, and sorry for not replying very quickly. Work, work, work. Well, mostly closeups rather than actual macros. And for now I have no external flash I can trust. I need to get myself a voltage stabilizer. But I guess exposure might be the key. I will try overexposing a little and see what happens.
