If you think there are cameras missing that ought to be on the list please let me know and I'll consider adding them.

Simple MODSET and DEVELOP did the trick till K-S1. My guess: All cameras since K-S1 need additional code. Bootcoder is a genius. With his help I succeeded to get into my K-S1 secret menu. It's here - search.
Frankly ask him to do further analysis to K-S2 and K-1

He won't be able to do the K-1 until there is a firmware update made available because he won't have a file to analyse.

K-S1 and K-S2 done now. I'll go and edit the list I posted a while back.

There is already a firmware update for the K-1 available for download.

BTW, the K100D's debug menu can be accessed as well by a certain key pressing combination after start up.

Boy that was quick! I guess the Pentax engineering team are paying a lot of attention to the K-1 because it's a very important camera for the parent company.

k100D (not super)

1: Put an SD card (prefer blank but any with space will work) in the slot DO NOT CLOSE THE SD CARD DOOR
2: Hold INFO and AE-L then power up
3: Press MENU, MENU then INFO within 5 seconds
:You now enter the debug mode

The list was produced using copy & paste from some forum somewhere, (not here) as I am not familiar with the full product history. Which one(s) should I delete please?

He probably meant the K-S2 but yea, we may need to wait a year or two for the -2, or possibly forever for the -02

K-S2 has been widely reviewed, are there supply shortages? I haven't read of any.

For K-01 I already posted.
K-500 needs file 00077770.550 and DEVELOP.MOD (like others) on the sdcard to enter debug mode.

UPDATE: fixed missing zeros

Thank you! Can you confirm that the K-500 needs no leading zeroes? It seems odd to vary the format of the name as well as the name itself, but of course maybe they do.

I'm now nearly there, with only the K-1 and K-3ii filenames to find. Once I have these I will put the PDF together.

OK, I have put the tables together for a PDF giving instructions for putting Pentax DSLRs into debug mode. I have only a few cameras of recent years missing from the list and if anyone can help fill these gaps please contribute. The missing cameras are:
So you collect the work of others but
a) will not share the compiled list immediately in this very forum in a simple post and
b) want to use pdf format which is prone to virus abuse even though we are talking about a very simple text only content which could be shared in form of a post here without any problems? Post can be edited multiple times.

There is no reason why you could not post the compilation now and here and update it any time new content arrives.

Maybe the name is for the camera and the extension for a specific firmware version? In the end it's just a text file with a fancy name in any case.
