If you really want to experiment, I could prepare a modified K-50 firmware which can be possibly be installed in your K-01
The specs of K-30/50 and K-01 are rather close, but there are radical differences between these models. So as mee said, most likely you'll brick your Brick.[COLOR="Silver"]

The hardware is identical pretty much. The only difference is the K-01 doesn't have a mirror and a viewfinder

Honestly if I did have money to spare and an extra k-01 I'm pretty sure I'd test it.

I'm going to release this firmware to public, but only after a small period of testing to make sure the K-30 owners won't break their cameras.

So engaging the 2 s shutter delay (with mirror lock up) would brick your camera, then. :-p

You'll only be able to install the updates for K-30, but I'm sure Ricoh won't release new versions for it.
If a newer firmware for K-50 is available, the same modifications can be made to forcibly install it in K-30.

In fact, it's easy to change "K-50" strings to "K-30" as well as the model ID saved into EXIF info, so the camera will retain its name.
