You know, I honestly don't understand the criticism of the K3 at high ISO.

This is at ISO 12,800 running the LR4 noise reduction. Very poor light and modest PP.

You just need to learn how to use your camera. Here is my K200D at ISO1600. It did just fine.
And your software.

I'll be honest, my NR skills in LR are below average.

Wired - very true...here is a great place to start. See the section in this video where he talks about noise reduction. Works really well.

The center photo in this collage was a ridiculous ISO 40,000. I had no light at all. I could barely see the singer and the bassist through the viewfinder.

Wow, so Pentaxeros.com - Tu comunidad Pentax en espa found my blog regarding this little comparison and from what I can tell they are just trashing me. Wish I could go over there and explain that it was a quick and dirty test and not to be scientific in anyway. oh well.

problem with my blog is it's an opinion page, not a science page, it's not a page to go if you want MTF tests and stuff like that. I write about how the cameras feel and handle and post pictures depicting my experiences in the field. when it's not taken in context and gets translated by google I'm sure it goes all wrong
