Firefox is anti-Pentax

I was typing up a response on another thread and noticed that Firefox spell checker highlighted the word Pentax and suggested that I replace it with words pen and tax. This seemed odd so for kicks, I typed in words Canon and Nikon. Neither word was marked as misspelled. This leads to a an obvious conclusion: Nikon and Canon are in cahoots to eradicate Pentax as competition by subtle media and internet manipulation.

I am also starting to notice that Pentax's logo red ink is starting to take Nikon yellowish tint. I think Nikon is secretly injecting Nikon yellow into world's supplies of Pentax Red ink.

Interestingly enough, my copy of Firefox underlines Firefox! I wouldn't lose much sleep over it. I kind of lean towards Royal Purple for Pentax anyway!

Oh, what's the big deal for the FireFox's dictionary does not contain the word "Pentax"? They can't include all the brand names on this planet afterall.

As for "anti-Pentax", I think that's the good reason why I like to use FireFox myself and I always recommend my readers to use FireFox to read my Blog, too! ;-)

That's strange! I've used Firefox since version 0.8 and whenever I type Canon it is always comes up with "You've got to be kidding!"

The same goes for Microsoft word, but to get even you can set up the autocorrect function so that when you write Canon it instantly changes it to Pentax, works like charm.

Finally got tired of always seeing "Pentax" with a red underline . . . so I just added it to the dictionary.

Anybody else notice that since Thunderbird "split" from Firefox, the spam filter is not nearly as effective. Works fine for a week or so, then same ol junk starts getting through again.

Why does the spell checker not work on this site in Quick Reply mode? I don't have issues with any other VB forums...

Might depend on your browser. My spell checker works in the quick mode.
