K10 firmware and 540 fgz

I can't get my 540 to sync with my K10 in wireless mode. When the switch on the flash is set to wireless P-TTL becomes unavailable and manual fires with the cameras pre-flash. The only mode that works is Auto. Anyone else have a wireless issue with this flash?

Firmware. Newest is alleged cure; oldest requires two 540/360s, one on camera, one off.

It's working fine here for me with the latest firmware.

How are you setting it up?

i just turn on the flash to wireless, it defaults to p-ttl; turn on the camera, set it to wireless, and voila.

I guess my problem is in the flash because when I set the flash to wireless the P-TTL option goes away.

I think I know what the problem is. See page 52 of your 540 operating manual.

That did it. I forgot I had changed that setting to use the 540's optical slave so it would fire when another radio triggered flash went off. Now I need to remember to change it back and forth when changing what light combo I am using.

Thanks for the tip!

Too true, too true. I had read pages 38-41, didn't get to page 52. Lol, I guess I gave up to soon.
