Universal AC Adapter Pentax Compatible?

I'm checking this one out as I type. I picked up one used on Amazon and I'm going to try it with my K-x and my Oly but I wanted to share this one with you because it says it's Pentax compatible in the specs and it just might be a good alternative to some of you to the official adapters. It's from a company called Sima and it claims to be 95% compatible with every major camera brand out there. It comes with a lot of different adapter tips that you can try on your particular cameras. Looks just like the one they had at Radio Shak for a while to me. That one it did look to fit when I tried it but the day I went they were out of stock and every time I checked they never had them, so I am hoping that this is the same one and that it will work for my K-x and my Oly. I just got one for like $6, figured it was worth trying. If it doesn't work for the K-x I'm sure it will with something else. I'll post the results of my test on the K-x here when I get it.

If it has enough output current , it should work. As regards the tip, if you are a handy person, just get a tip and solder it yourself if it's not included...

I don't solder. I don't mess with things like that. I tend to kill mini electronics when I dabble. :P Supposedly it has a tip that fits Pentax and a tip that fits Olympus. One way or the other I'm likely to get a usable camera adapter out of it,. But $6 I didn't break the bank if I didn't. They're usually $25-30 so....

Please do. Could be a handy option for the K-x.

But it may need something equivalent to the K-x DC coupler (that fits into the battery compartment and puts power through the battery contacts) for it to work on the K-x.

Similar issue with the K200D, K-r, K-30 and K-50, I guess.

Other Pentaxes like the K-7/K-5/K-3 will be much easier to work with as they have a more traditional power plug on the side of the camera.

The K200D has a regular power plug on the left side under the door. I've used a non Pentax power adapter with my DS and K200 for several years.
The one magkelly linked to should work fine.

My mistake about the K200D.
The K-x doesn't have any power plug on the side though. You have to feed power in via the battery compartment somehow.

Yeah, what I thought was the ac adapter plug turned out to be for a mini usb. No outlet for AC adapter on K-x, sorry.
