I have never seen a downside to having an tilt-screen, especially one as robust as on the K-1

The funny thing is, since I have it on the KP and K-1 I use it, but I never longed for it on K-3 or any previous cameras. If I were to get the K-new I think I would be fine with the fixed screen. I still have a thin waterproof sheet in my camera bag. [Edit]: And a Refconverter A

I absolutely need it for macro shots and closeups on the field. It'd be a deal breaker for me not to have one. Not that I'm looking to replace my KP.

I really miss having a tilt screen right now, it makes a huge difference when trying to take pictures from different angles.

If you shoot very low, over your head, the tilt screen can really save your knees and toes! I did not have one on my K-7, but find it quite useful on the K-1!

My "nice" camp is car photography, and it would very nice to have a tilt screen when i'm trying to make low shots, for example on stanced or bagged cars, where those can be even touching the ground with the body. I'm not old at all, but my back is already bitching at me sometimes, and also seeing a photographer like it has passed out is kinda funny...

I never missed it but now that I have a KP I really like it. I just wish the electronic level was like the one on my Fuji and easy to read.

With K-70, it's very useful from time to time - just my "opinion"!
