K-x jammed and reset

My old K-x started to behave strangely, it rquired high ISO to take any shot at all in good light. And it took the shot way late.
I searched the menus and found reset and after that all was fine again. Now it's back to normal modus operandi.

What went wrong? I was clueless, and still am. Some setting must have gone wrong that the reset fixed.

Here is a pic that I did not delete. No clue from exif.

EDIT: see shutter speed 1/2sec, ISO1600 and f8. Very hard to get AF lock. Today same shot had shutter speed 1/6 and instant focus lock.

EDIT again: Yesterday no shake reduction, not possible to turn it on either. Today OK.
