My experience exactly!

Just for a few that wanted to know. I sent my camera into the local shop who forwarded the camera to Pentax Canada. They asked for any Pentax Lenses I have. They can adjust up to 5 apparently. I sent it with the FA50/1.4 and the camera seems to be great with all lenses. Bonus was a free cleaning of the sensor without asking.

Yes very much so. The camera is faster in locking focus and more positive from what I can see. I did a bit of shooting last night and the camera had no real issues with focus lock in poor conditions. Here's a quick hand held shot from today with FA50/1.4

The site resizing doesn't do that image justice. Have a look at this link. It should work:

So, I downloaded the latest version of PhotoMe, and for the life of me I cant see a revision number anywhere!

Its got the model number, whether or not the camera has been serviced, date of manufacture, production ID, serial number, but no revision number...

Where is this found?

Take an unedited RAW file and look down the page in PhotoMe for the sub section "Manucaturers notes". You'll see something like this:

Thank you!

Sadly I dont see that anywhere on my copy of PhotoMe. Im looking in the exact same spot and I dont see a revision number anywhere. My K10D is currently in the shop (battery grip issues...Printed Circuit Board replacement in the K10D) and when it comes back, Ill check again.

Just tried this in PhotoME and instead of Model Revision it has Production ID.

Any ideas why that might be?

The latest version of PhotoMe doesn't have the field anymore. I think the creator talked about it in another thread. The revision field in the past was more of a guess than an actual indicator. I think there is another field now .. The problem is .. I don't know what the original value was before my camera was sent in.

The writer of PhotoMe has indicated that he has changed the term used from Revision? to two lines that you mention "Camera has been serviced?" and "Production ID?"

As the author of the software has also stated items with a ? indicate that he was unsure of the meaning of the data.

It might be that lots of folks are needlessly chasing a phantom upgrade based on the innocuous term "Revision?" that was formerly used.
