k3 or k5

I'm looking at upgrading my from my currant K200D to either a k3 or k5, prices here in New Zealand are only a couple of hundred difference, i mainly shoot landscape and HDR stuff so i'm not sure what model to actually decide on. I've seen reviews on both of them and like them both, just undecided on which one !, any thoughts on the matter?

In Australia, the pricing policy is similar to NZ and I believe that the couple of extra hundred dollars for K-3 are worth the investment. I would go for the K-3 if you want to buy locally.

The alternative is to grab a K-5iis from B&H or Adorama on special (about US$700).

My 5 cents....

Go for at least the K-5 II or IIs if possible. It's probably worth it to go to the K-3, however.

I still have my K200D and will continue to keep it. I'd gladly trade in my K-5 for a K-5 II. I'm happy with my K-5 IIs, and I liked the K-3 when I borrowed it one day.

Thats interesting. Whenever I have decided to buy something, so far it has been a lot cheaper (2/3 of the price or better) to import from B&H in the USA (even allowing for freight, fees and duties). I know its still the case with items under the magic NZ$380 (no customs / duty to pay) but maybe NZ is more competitive than it was?
Who are you buying from (keeping fingers crossed that NZ distribution have finally got their act together!)?

Get the k-3. It's a big improvement over the k5.

...you really can't go wrong with either one. I have a K-5 and I love it.....but whatever you do KEEP your K200D with it's CCD sensor.....they don't make 'em anymore and it produces some wonderful colors.
