How well does the Pentax O-GPS1 handle with longer lenses for tracking stars, like 200/300mm for 5 to 10 seconds tracking stars, witch it would be the cheapest way stack nebulae images without a telescope.

A Pentax K-30/50/-01 with the GPS module would be the best way to start astrophotography.

Just want to mention that K-01 does not support the astrotrace function, but you can still use the gps to geo-locate your images.

I cannot speak for K30/50 out of own experiences but the O-GPS1 works quite well on a K-5 and K-3 with the focal lengths that you mention:

I've done some tests with a DA* 60-250mm and in most cases I was able to shoot 30secs, sometimes more. So it should handle 10-15secs @ 300mm. (Note: I have always halved the max recommended exposure time that Astrotracer recommends)
