This is silly. If it were true, working pros using Canon must be idiots. Pentax AF is accurate, Canon AF is also accurate but faster.

as some one that shoots in low light and sports a lot with a K10D (from what i read the K20D hase the same AF) and K100D my thoughts

i have not missed a shot i wonted because of the AF the other 2 theres may faster i will give them that but it has not affected me a lot but it could be just how i shoot. YES i hope that Pentax makes improvements. i think that the will.

with a flash i do not have one, i had a bit of a problem finding one that i like the Pentax flases i would brake to ez and i looked at Meatz, Quotom ect and there not copatble with PTTL ( as far as i know when i looked a couple of months back)

540fgz flash

you will be good to go.
Pentax ergonomics are better than any camera i've handled. That is the main reason I'm staying with pentax right now. I've shot professionally with most canons and only one nikon, then handled some nikons in the camera shop
I feel that the order is 1Pentax 2Nikon 3Canon for ergonomics (this is simply my opinion)

decide also what you want to do in the next couple of years with your system i.e. magazine work, weddings, concerts or whatever and fit your system to your niche

good luck
