Sigma 18-200 on new k10d?

I'm looking at getting a sigma 18-200mm lens for my new k10d but am having a hard time deciding because all of the reviews I see are all using Canon or Nikon cameras. The lens seems to work great on Nikons but has autofocus issues at 200mm's on the Canons. Looking for input on how the lens will perform on a k10d, thanks.........

The Sigma 18-200mm is a very convenient lens, but if you are particular about image quality, its only average.
I don't have the lens, but did try it out when I was looking to buy one for that zoom range.

The Tamron 18-250mm costs a bit more, but has better IQ.

I have a Tamron 18-200mm DI II lens on K10d, excellent range, very good quality with low abberation in high constrast. I also have the Tamron Di 70-300mm which feels cheaper, but still excellent value for money (£89~)

If its a superzoom you want then the Tamron 18-250 is highly regarded & recognised as the "king" of the bunch

I purchased a Sigma 18-200mm with my K10D some 15 months ago and it has performed generally very well.

Whilst the image is quality is not superb, it is nonetheless good. So when you take into account the convenience of such a wide zoom range and its overall quality, especially for the price, it is difficult not to be satisfied.

I believe the the Tamron 18-250 is also a very good lens and the extra reach may make it more dsirable.
